A Decade in the Toilet Bowl: Ten Years of YTP (2014 - 2024)

The Hannah-Höch-inspired main blog image for the 10th anniversary of me, under the moniker LordOfTheBoxes12, making YouTube Poops.

The day that this blog entry is published is rather significant, as it's the...34th anniversary of Susan Hendrickson's discovery of, at the time, the largest and most complete skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex, near Faith, South Dakota, with the skeleton being nicknamed Sue in honor of the archaeologist. This discovery, while having great historical, scientific, and, well, archaeological significance, has nothing to do with this writing.

The day is important because it marks the ten-year anniversary of me joining the YouTube Poop community.

Although the site had been up for five years at that point, I never really got into YouTube until late 2008. I was paranoid that YouTube videos would somehow contain computer viruses or somehow cause other malicious actions to the family computer. Around late 2008 and into the following year, I found various things on the site, including a fan-made trailer for The Shining with the music from the trailer for Spider-Man 2, the actual music from the trailer for Spider-Man 2 (“Preliator” by Globus, for those interested), and 1990s Nickelodeon bumpers and ads I haven't seen since their original airing.

Since I received my first laptop PC in 2010 as a gift for graduating high school and going into college, I found more stuff on YouTube, mainly focusing on this feeling of early 2000s/turn of the millennium childhood nostalgia I had, like (to me) never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of *NSYNC's “It's Gonna Be Me” music video, and the audio for Mandy Moore's song “Candy.”

I fell down the YouTube rabbit hole in no time, finding various material, like songs (both then-current and otherwise) to listen to while doing browsing web pages or doing college work, older commercial breaks recorded on VHS, video cassette openings and closings, and best-of collections of RiffTrax for various movies, and eventually the RiffTrax YouTube channel.

Most notably, and most importantly for this tale, is my time browsing on the platform when the 2010s were in their infancy, circa 2011-2012. I definitely remember starting officially watching YouTube Poops around that time, mainly in the latter year. I recall one of the first YTPs I watched was “Garfield and Jon Joins [sic] a Cult” (though it was one of the first ones I watched, I don't recall it, or which one, being the first ever one I watched) and finding it so entertainingly bizarre and silly.

As the years passed, I started watching more and more Poops, enjoying various videos and subscribing to many notable Poopers, including TomServo3, EmperorLemon, cs188, NationOfOranges696, cartoonlover98, and many more. I ultimately decided to start making my own YTPs, taking these and many other Poopers as inspiration for my own work.

Before I officially dived into the world of YTP, like many things I do, I over-researched on how to do things properly so I don't make any grave mistakes. A notable video I watched first was MoBrosStudios' YTP tutorial that showed the basics of what to do and not to do in a Poop, and later watched another video of his for aspiring Poopers.

As I got more and more into my YTP “career,” so to speak, I also saw a video from Stuart K. Reilly's YouTube Poop News about bad YTPs to make sure mine didn't get mentioned as examples of bad Poops. Thankfully, since that video was made years prior in 2009, none of mine did and even the weakest of mine, even up to that point, were a million times better than the examples Stuart featured. I also saw another video from the same channel similar to the MoBros one explaining the bad things newbies often do.

Thanks to these videos, I learned how to make YTPs. Some of them contained some advice that was obvious even to a newbie like me, like don't use too much of the original unedited footage for a lengthy time. I also discovered that many Poopers used a software called Sony Vegas Pro, which often had tendencies to crash. I wasn't sure where to find a free version of this software online, at least not a reputable source that probably wouldn't download viruses onto my laptop along with the software, and Windows Movie Maker was (and probably still is, unless absolutely necessary) frowned upon in the community.

Wanting to look professional and have a high-quality editing software to produce high-quality videos, and unable to find the official software, I ended up finding a free software for video editing, Lightworks. I learned a fair amount about it before starting making YTPs, and learned more about the software while making YTPs. However, since I'm using the freeware version of Lightworks, as per all freeware versions of software, it's lacking some capabilities available in more costly versions.

The story of my first decade of YouTube Pooping is a tale of skills learned, missed opportunities, surprise hits, and (based on statistics) hits that should have been.

LEVER IN A THOUSAND MILLENNIA!

The YTP's title came from the title of the original Cro episode, “Lever in a Million Years,” a pun on the phrase “never in a million years.” I did the math and a million years is equivalent to 1,000 millennia (plural form of millennium, or group of 1,000 years, for those who are intellectually-challenged).

Being my first YouTube Poop, I was very green in terms of editing, most notably in a scrambling bit with Mike in the middle, as well as the opening bit with Phil singing “Oh.” It just repeats throughout the opening, and making said opening seem unintentionally longer than it is, even if it the otherwise uncut opening of the original episode. If I had more professional editing skills (and Audacity then), I would probably drag out the “Oh” to fit the whole opening, or at least a slightly shortened version of the opening. It sounds pretty funny just typing and thinking about it.

Also, if you're watching this Poop, compared to others, including my own, the picture quality seems rather poor and low. I had the Cro tape that this episode appeared on (in 2006, as a middle school graduation present, along with the two other ones), but I wouldn't get a device to transfer VHS tape to digital until Christmas 2015 and when I made the YTP, the only available version of this episode on YouTube, which I used as the Poop's basis, was split into three separate videos.

Phil says “my ass seems to be packed to the plumbing.” Back in 2014, I added an annotation for this and others when it seemed that my sentence-mixing wasn't up to snuff. But then, YouTube later removed the annotations, which is a real shame for this, some other of my Poops, and many other videos on the site in general.

Similarly, Gogg later says to Ogg, regarding Cro, “Figure out how unlock cock.” Gogg, Ogg, and the other Neanderthals are stereotypical cavemen in the show and talk accordingly; Gogg originally said, “Figure out how unlock cave door.” My edit was inspired by the vulgar sentence-mixing of TomServo3.

The brief scrambling of Cro jumping for joy and yelling “Hot dog!”, in spite of a rather rough start, was pretty good for my first Poop. However, near the middle, there's also a rather poor scrambling attempt with Mike and the nutcracker.

At 2:51, when Phil is sent flying to crash into Earl and Mojo, a strange beep-like noise is heard just before the scene cuts. As aforementioned, the source of this Poop was three separate videos, the whole episode split into thirds, and the first video of the original ended at/around this scene, so I had to start using the second third, and ultimately the remaining third, for the rest of the Poop. My best guess is that something happened while Lightworks rendered the video. Lightworks has proven to be rather reliable with editing and producing videos, but sometimes there can be notable hiccups.

Mojo's line, “Internal combustion engines,” appearing immediately after Earl tells Phil, “Don't you look who you're fucking in on?”, was intended to be a bizarre running gag I would feature in my Poops, probably inspired by stuff from TomServo3, like using “a baby's pyness” from Adult Swim's Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, but I'm not entirely sure. I did feature in in a few more YTPs, but ended up not using it anymore.

One of my favorite lines in this YTP, and one of my favorites out of all my YTPs, is from Phil, “You know, Ivy, homos do have opposable thumbs.”

When Nandy is shouting “The melons are loose!”, the only visual is a black screen in white text that states, “Due to the horrific imagery of this scene, it has been censored from viewing audiences.” It was another TomServo3-inspired bit where, in some of her Poops, more visually crass scenes were replaced with a caption reading something like, “You don't want to see this. Trust me.” I used my version a few times in my other Poops.

I sentence-mixed Ogg to say “Cro bye bye bye boy!” but neglected to alter the visuals. I typed the flash caption “LOL! Slight syncing failure!” to acknowledge this mistake, but I don't remember if I was trying to make a subtle pun or additionally neglected that, too. I think it was just the pun.

The strange bit at 4:21 with the images of Earl popping around was just me fooling around and experimenting with Lightworks. I'm also not entirely sure what was with Dr. C's last (and only) line in this Poop; maybe I was just trying to prevent having too much unedited footage from the original be present in the end of the YTP. I don't know.

I had pretty high hopes for this Poop, too. I was hoping I would turn Cro into a new YTP source as well as creating a new meme. Similar to how the infamous Simple Plan song “Untitled [better known as 'How Could This Happen to Me?']” would be used for pseudo-sad/butt-hurt moments in Poops, I was hoping that the Backstreet Boys' song “Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely” would be used for moments of pseudo-sadness and fake mourning, like for Ogg's fur here.

As you'll see later with some other Poops, you'll see two images for one video. This is because I decided to create custom thumbnails for some of my older YTPs long after their original uploads, probably due to YouTube offering my channel the ability to add custom thumbnails after certain time had passed and criteria had been met, likely around mid-2016, which is when I added the new thumbnail on the right.

BILLY MAYS SELLS THE WORLD'S GREATEST INSOLE

Five years later, this YTP would be adapted into “The World's Greatest Insole,” the seventh issue of Americus Video.

What I'm now unsure what was clear was the item that Billy's selling isn't called Impact Gel here, but The World's Greatest Insole, which also happens to be the world's greatest insole. My editing skills weren't good enough to remove the Impact Gel logo from the video. I did, however, manage to pull off a great, brief scene of trippy scrambling early one.

I got this Mays commercial, and others, in a video compilation of his commercials, which also included The Big City Slider Station, Oxyclean, Impact Gel, and others. I had actually first Mays commercials in another video project, this time for Communication Design I class in Spring 2014 at Rutgers-Camden where, on the school's Mac editing software, I created a backwards, slowed-down audio of the Big City Sliders commercial and placed it over the image of the Darvaza gas crater.

I think Billy should've been edited to just say “I'm gonna run over my feet” instead of “I'm gonna run over my feet all day.” I think I was too much of a newbie in YTP to edit it properly. The subsequent part of the repeated footage of the car running over his hand was just added to lengthen the Poop and not use too much of the unedited source.

I was inspired to do a Billy Mays Poop during my initial days of watching YTP. I viewed the videos of bluegroove157, where commercials of the late pitchman were/are the primary source, as well as a two-part collab hosted by Nashmetal100, called “Billy Mays amazing YTP wacky collab.” This was 2012 (and the videos were from a year prior), back when lengthier YouTube videos had to be split into multiple parts. I figured that doing a Poop of a Billy Mays commercial would bring some recognition to my channel and I.

TESTICLE ACRES

But the one that started bringing in some traffic was my next video: my first Spongebob/Spingebill Poop. Although my editing skills have improved vastly since mid-August, I've still had some rough patches with scrambling, as seen near the end with the trippy, speedy montage of Squidward near the end. I just played and reversed the original footage at an incredible speed, rather than scramble it properly. But it's a lot better than my first attempt in “Lever” with Mike and the nutcracker, and I still have a soft spot for the final scene in this Poop.

The famous nuclear explosion footage as seen in many episodes of Spongebob was taken from not from an episode of the show, but from a video by Kortez3000, named to the effect of “dying_for_pie,mp4,” as I didn't have a proper clip of the explosion at the time. I let him know of this in this video's comment section.

One of the more difficult aspects of this Poop production was finding high-quality episodes of Spongebob online. I was well aware of Viacom's notorious search-and-destroy policy with regards to YTPs and other videos based on their properties like Spongebob, which made the search for such episodes rather hard on YouTube. I ended up finding a few cartoons on Dailymotion, including “Squidville.” I remembered the cartoon following a fed-up Squidward moving into Tentacle Acres, a gated community with other squids, and of course, the famous montage of the cephalopod initially enjoying the town at first before getting bored out of his mind by it.

On the subject of the montage, one of my original plans was to have each shot organized by background, for example: all the shots with Squidward riding his bike collected into one montage, one with all the shots of him playing the clarinet with the other squids, etc., etc. I ended up only doing the first one because I was screwing around with the montage enough in an already lengthy editing process for the sequence and doing all the rest seemed to feel like too much extra work.

At 2:47, a message briefly flashes saying “LOL! Bu-better!” but Squidward doesn't appear to say that. That was a remnant from when I was editing the video in Lightworks. When the cut to a slightly slowed-down Squidward happened, his dialogue “better than I [expected]” seemed to duplicate slightly, making him say “bu-better.” Feeling this mistake was funny, I decided to keep it in in the final product.

However, when Lightworks rendered the final video, the “bu-better” goof was somehow removed, and I don't know how or why. The caption still remained and now, since it doesn't seem to refer to anything presently, seems like a non-sequitur, which, given YouTube Poop, actually seems to be a little funnier.

I named the Poop Testicle Acres thinking it would be crass, attention-getting, funny, and never done before. It turns out that I was rather wrong on the latter. However, I ended up being rather correct on the other things. I noticed that this was getting a more higher rate of likes, dislikes, and viewings than my other Poops, and more than my other videos at the time. By November 4, 2016, it got an outstanding 2,331 views, eight likes, and three dislikes!

Comments on the video are rather positive, too. User luluanimates7715, in a comment from c. 2018, said, “Wtf? You Ruined My Childhood Good job (clapping emoji)”. With regards to my sentence-mixing of the squid spokesman for Tentacle Acres to say, “where happiness is sucking penises,” markolysynchuk5264 said, “1:55 it sound like it actually was in the script lol”.

And yes, when the Testicle Acres gates open for Squidward, the old music from the DiscoVision intro plays. I had discovered a YouTube video of the intro and got interested in the LaserDisc format around the same time I was making this Poop. In a comment from c. 2022, user systemshocker2875 said the use of this music made the Tentacle/Testicle Acres gate-opening magical.

OGG, GOGG, AND THE DICK CHALLENGE

Originally published: November 12, 2014

I figured during production that this was my most sexual YTP I made so far, because, as implied by the title, Neanderthals Ogg and Gogg inadvertently end up in a challenge for tribe leadership by the latter stating he has more dick than Ogg, and the challenge includes events like porcupine fucking.

The title from this one came from popular challenges at the time, but most specifically the Ice Bucket Challenge, where people would film themselves getting poured with, well, a bucket full of cold, icy water and beforehand, would let other people know that they have to do so as well, though I was never called on to do this. All of this was for donations to ALS research.

Searching on YouTube, I found more taped episodes of Cro for me to use in future Poops, all in higher (such as they were, given they were off-air VHS recordings on ABC from the early '90s) quality than the “Lever” episode.

The random red screen with 1974 copyright date for ABC that flashes throughout the Poop was seen as briefly as it mostly was here at the beginning of the original recording, cutting in partially into the opening of the Cro episode.

When making this video, I considered having Lorde's song “Yellow Flicker Beat” play at the beginning, making it appear that Phil was singing it. It was part of the soundtrack for the recently-released Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay, Part 1 and received a lot of airplay on alternative stations. I remember listening to it on WRFF-FM, Radio 104.5, now Alt-104.5, on drives to places, including from the River Line station when coming home from Rutgers for the day. While the idea stayed in my head when editing, I ultimately didn't use it.

Neanderthals Ogg and Gogg were originally bickering about which of the two was more hairier. Possibly due to my mind being thrown into the gutter by watching many a YTP, I made it so that Ogg and Gogg were arguing about who was more well-endowed. Between this and the rather simple thought and editing process for the rest of the episode, such as the porcupine fucking challenge, and a later Cro YTP, I think I have it a little too easy.

In scenes involving the stone mirrors (or as referred to in the episode, “see-myselfers”), I decided to make the scene more strange and confusing. I took the audio tracks and moved the bottom one slightly to the right to make it sound like two of the same people, whether it be Ogg or the title character boy, were talking. I also flipped some shots to add some more outlandishness and unfamiliarity to the scene.

One of my favorite piece of sentence mixing that I've done, and I still think holds up (as I point out in a comment on the video from around 2017), is during the Billy Mays commercial in the middle: “Chicken ham, ham ham, even shrimp ham is all done with just a few taps.” It's just so strange, redundant, and nonsensical.

Another moment I enjoy in this Poop is just before said commercial, when Ogg gets furious at Cro and seemingly kills him. I created the audio first by slowing down the original sound of the episode in Audacity without altering the pitch. I made the altered audio first before having an official plan to use it. What I like most about the final scene is the jarring change in tone from the dark implied murder (though Cro comes back) to the cheery ABC bumper playing their famous “After these messages...” song.

I don't know if it was officially a meme yet or not at the time I made the video (the earliest I recall it appearing as such was around mid-to-late-2016), but if it was and I had known about it, for the Bob-fucking (the Bob-rolling scene in the original), I would've added Limp Bizkit's “Rollin'” to the Poop.

The Backstreet Boys' “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely,” reappears at the end, making its second and currently final appearance in one of my Poops. The ending montage was done much better here than in the “Lever” Poop, with scenes of Ogg from this episode is black-and-white, slowed down somewhat, and each scene dissolving into the next, and Ogg unintentionally appears to sing along with the song at one point.. The whole sequence ends with “RIP Ogg: Whenever the heck he was born – the date of his death,” one of my favorite jokes in this Poop.

Also, at the end, I forgot to sentence-mix Nandy to say “This big, gay toenail crown...” instead of leaving it unedited as “This big, scary toenail crown...”

On March 5, 2015, I released the edited Cro theme song as it's own separate video (under the totally imaginative title “YouTube Poop: Cro Theme,” 113 views, 1 like, 0 dislikes) as a filler video to let my small amount of subscribers know that I was still active.

Arthur could stay in this place for hours and hours, for hours and hours, for hours and hours, for hours and hours, etc., etc.

YTPMV VOL. 1: WHEN YOU PINCH WENDY'S PENNIES, THERE'S FIRE

My first ever YTPMV (YouTube Poop Music Video), featuring a crass version of “Library Card” (and using only the first part of the song for the chorus, rather than the respective repeatings of it) from the classic Arthur episode “Arthur's Almost Live Not Real Music Festival.”

When D.W. raps “but there can't be any lessons on how to use computers,” I paused the image of her big grin and originally added an annotation that said “Go to sleep,” because it sort of reminded me of the infamous image of Jeff the Killer. Also, when I was younger and listened to her lyric, I thought she strangely contradicted herself by saying what would be the YTP's lyric after stating that there's lessons on how to use computers. The lyric, I discovered many years later, goes like this, “but there can't be any lessons on how to make me cuter.” Like any lessons would help you at all, Dora Winifred.

Semi-related fun fact: in the late '90s, around the time the original episode aired on PBS, I owned the original audio cassette, Arthur and Friends: The First Almost Real Not Live Tape, which my mom would put on while driving me places like school or Boys' Scout meetings. I remember listening to the tape first before seeing the episode on TV.

The final bit of this YTP is a partial totally original Monty Python rip-off, inspired by the Flying Circus episode ending with the famous “Argument Clinic” sketch.

THE WORLD OF THE COMPACT DISC INTERACTIVE

After making brief jokes, references, and small appearances in the “Dick Challenge” YTP and the previous one, all three CD-i games (Hotel Mario, and the main two from The Legend of Zelda: Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon)—collectively the more notable source of Poops—made their first appearance on my channel, five days after my 23rd birthday...and it's basically a collection of random sketches and edits featuring the cutscenes from said games.

I would also like to make clear that, despite shouting “Gay!” a few moments earlier, Link was actually asking for a fuck from Zelda, not Gwonam. Also, I ended releasing this Poop the same year as gay marriage was legalized by SCOTUS in the United States.

The transition from the first Faces of Evil scene to the beginning of Hotel Mario was going to be much more than an abrupt appearance of the latter on the map before fading in. The latter scene would've faded in on Link's map and zoomed into the pillarboxed screen and played out. Although I was much more skilled in Lightworks since last August, I was still a little green and didn't entirely know (or possibly forgotten somewhat) about keyframes for video footage.

Many of the images seen in Bowser's “instruction book” are human/animal transformation images for Deviantart and I admit that these kind of images do turn me on, too. Hell, I have a whole Favorites collection of such images on my own dA account.

After seriously considering making YTPs, I figured I should try to find the most notable sources for me to use, including the CD-i cutscenes. I found a then-recent compilation of the scenes on YouTube that lacked the Quebec Games watermark from older compilations and also had other scenes absent in said compilations. I initially used the cutscene videos as a separate test project to experiment in Lightworks.

MASSIVE FAIL IN THE KINGDOM OF HYRULE

When I first advertised this YTP on my social media accounts (which just counted Facebook at the time), I mistakenly referred to this as my (paraphrased) “first new YTP of the phonkin' new year [2015],” when the first one of that year was actually the previous one. I simply made an error.

For this Poop, I tried to make it interesting by having characters from different scenes say things that other characters in other scenes would normally speak, such as Ganon and Gwonam having the first conversation Link and the King normally have in Faces of Evil. I recall that being the genesis of the Poop and the rest of it just snowballed from there.

This was my first major experimentation in sentence mixing, editing words and syllables into totally different sentences, as opposed to editing a word or syllable into a different word or moving a different word into a different place.

The segment where the cutscenes in both Zelda CD-i games appear to be rewound (really played backwards and severely compressed) was inspired by this part of an upload of a GMC Truck Action Theater LaserDisc from 1979.

The style for the King's dialogue, including the font, was inspired by the videos of CinemaSins, which I started watching around the time I started making YTPs and was actually invested in it, believe it or not.

The ending scene, the opening of Wand of Gamelon, was originally supposed to go smoothly before Impa ends up ruining it all. However, Lightworks was being its usual goofy self and ended up corrupting some of the parts of this scene. I ended up keeping it in because it ended up foreshadowing that things weren't going to go well for this take of the scene.

I have no idea what that mysterious black gunk is on Phil the mammoth. Do you?

IN THE HEAT OF THE TURN

The title of the Poop, a corruption of the episode's original title, is a reference to the classic TV show In the Heat of the Night with Carrol “Archie Bunker” O'Connor, which my late mother was watching in reruns at the time.

As I mention in the video's description, I found the original source, a Saturday morning airing of the Cro episode “Turn Up the Heat!” on ABC from the early '90s complete with commercial breaks (for the most part) and bumpers, was a little difficult to edit or alter for a YTP as there were so many absurd or strange moments to leave on their own that it would be a little hard to edit without running the whole footage uncut.

One such moment was when, after Ogg while disguised as a chicken land on Mojo the mammoth's back, and the mammoth calmly but angrily replies to the Neanderthal, “You..are a blight on this land,” and furiously throwing Ogg off while yelling, “NOW GO AWAY!” I loved this moment so much that I edited the original scene as its separate video.

The video starts off with an ABC bumper with the announcer sentence-mixed to say “This is Sparta!”, a reference to the famous line and late-2000s meme from the movie 300. At the end of the video, an edited version of the famous scene from the film plays, culminating with Leonidas shouting “This! Is! ABC.” He finished off softer due to me using just the scene to sentence mix him to say the Alphabet Network's name.

This was the first time I played around with an old meme to have it make a fresh appearance, similar to what MoBrosStudios did in Skellington's Revenge, when he sentence mixed Jack Skellington to say the famous YTP meme “PINGAS!” rather than play the clip of Robotnik saying it.

Similarly, the opening scene with Mike muttering/thinking “I don't get it.” was inspired by a similar scene in a YTP by cartoonlover98 based on Rudolph's Shiny New Year (reupload here), where the titular reindeer states “I don't understand, sir.” repeatedly while being explained about the time islands. I think it worked in the latter Poop because Rudolph was off-screen there and in the source, but here Mike is on-screen, making it appear he's thinking it in his head.

The scene of Nandy singing and banging loudly in the original and having the volume lowered to almost muted here, as opposed to ear rape (and be having a brief bragging caption), is a reference to a YTP of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic by cs188 from 2011, “My Little Porno: Friendship with Benefits.” However, now I'm not totally sure that you would've expected anything from my Poop, given your probably lack of familiarity with Cro, especially compared to something like MLP.

Early in the original source video of the recording, after the Cro theme, a Cookie Crisp commercial got partially cut-off, jumping straight to the episode's title card, “Turn Up the Heat!” Thus, only the tail end of the commercial, before it got cut off, was just repeated rapidly.

I should've added a picture of Mojo Jojo was Phil was edited to say his name. I thought about doing so when I made it, but never got to it. I similarly should've placed Alex Jones' face over Earl as he was talking about the geyser stoppage being caused by a human conspiracy.

For the first Partnership for a Drug Free America ad (the famous one with the squiggly kid flashing red and the growling dog, which I've seen a lot on ABC Saturday morning cartoons, even, and mainly during the One Saturday Morning block), the girl replies to the question of what do you say to people who ask you to do drugs “Yay!” The squiggly kid says, “I wanna look and feel like this.” The penultimate kid says, “Take a chill pill.” in an anti-drug PSA.

I altered the second Partnership for a Drug Free America ad to make it appear Lisa Watson actually took some mysterious substance called “notsaw waseel,” ending with the caption, “Partnership for a Drug Filled America.” Simple, but effective editing on my part.

Although I mentioned that the original source was a little too hard to edit for a Poop and production of it was occurring during the start of my senior term at Rutgers-Camden and preparing for the coming senior thesis projects, production still seemed to go smoothly nevertheless. I really don't know how to exactly explain this strange, contradictory feeling.

A possible explanation is that there ended up being hardly any edits to make, but not without risking having whole segments of unedited footage, a big no-no in YouTube Poop. A major example is the sexual humor throughout the Poop, primarily Cro and a belated Ogg taking part of their respective growing-up tests by having sex with mammoths and Earl the mammoth telling a defeated Ogg that mammoths just like to be asked first. In the original recording, Cro and Ogg had to ride a mammoth like a rider on horseback, and use terms like “riding mammoths.”

There's also Nandy's brief feminazi moment where she's upset that Cro is dumbfounded that the normally imbecilic Nandy suddenly has an idea. The only edit I made was her line “First, we get pot,” where the original had her say “First, we get big pot.”

Perhaps the coinciding of me getting working on my senior thesis work, getting ready to graduate college and the optimistic, bright-future-feeling of getting into the adult world and workforce at the time also contributed to the fuzzy feelings I have towards this Poop.

This Poop also includes my first ever use of the old Poopism “sos.”

My Poop here also featured the first (and so far only) appearance of the “THIS! IS! SPARTA!” scene from 300, feeling it would be a highlight of the video. Given the original source featured an ABC bumper with an announcer stating “This is ABC!”, it seemed to make sense.

Is this Dennis Franz' character from NYPD Blue appearing in a kids' made-for-TV movie?

This YTP was released one day after I graduated from Rutgers-Camden. It uses the same source as the previous YTP, specifically the commercial breaks.

Sometime after its release, this video got two dislikes. While this YTP came out in 2015, when people agree that wokeness/ultra-political-correctness was starting to creep into society, I guess people started to dislike it because of the un-PC material in the drug commercial, asking what kids would do when others would tell them to do Lisa Watson. The girl replies that she isn't gay. Another kid says, “Stick anchovies in my ass.” The penultimate kid, a black kid, would repeatedly say the N-word, though it would be the peer-to-peer urban version, as in the N in NWA (the biopic about which, Straight Outta Compton, would be released a few months later).

For my next Poop, I decided to try a source nobody seems to have done yet: Monty Python's Flying Circus. The only such Poop I found at the time was one using specifically Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a Spadinner Poop from the era. My YTP was based on a sketch of the TV show: the underrated “Silly Voices at the Police Station,” avoiding the still-beloved, but tired and overquoted Python stuff like the Dead Parrot sketch.

A few years later, I noticed that this Poop was apparently blocked from being viewed in the US or internationally since at least 2019. So, taking a page from some other Poopers, I slightly re-edited the video to include a trippy, multicolored border to hopefully distract the copyright bots on YouTube.

So, after starting the reupload on YouTube, there were still some copyright issues that had to be corrected. The exaggerated bit with Jonesy and Officer Cleese talking to one another (“I wish to report a burglary!” “I can't hear you, sir.”) was cut a little, missing the ear rape and distortion, cutting back to when Jones in slow-mo starts reporting the burglary, then cutting back to a bit later when Chapman is attempting at high-pitched scrambling. Finally, the ending Simple Plan song was cut to just a brief moment and being replaced with an original song from the Free YouTube library called “St. Francis.”

The 2021 re-edit is the first time ever that I created captions for anyone of my videos. I was somewhat intrigued of having to caption and transcribe the strange goings on in this YTP, even in its edited, copyright-friendly form. The 2015 original might still be available on YouTube, depending on your country, but in case it isn't, here's the original reuploaded on the Internet Archive.

I'll be out of here in no time...in 2000 years.

One of the comments from the video complains that the moment of Squidward running around in the blank void, mistakenly referred to as a stutter loop, was rather long. I tend to agree with the comment's gist that some of the lengthier repetitive jokes were too excessive. I still feel it's suitable for a YouTube Poop regardless, where strange and absurd jokes are often made mainly to deliberately try the patience of the viewer, but they still went on a little too long.

There are also a few goofs with this YTP, mainly hardly editing the original source in the beginning. I didn't have the editing skills to place differing versions of SpongeBob and Patrick behind Squidward's door like a similar YTP I saw earlier.

Even with these criticisms dragging it down, I don't consider this Poop to be absolutely horrendous, nor one of the most awful YTPs period, especially after viewing Stuart K. Reilly's video on bad YTPs. This mixed feeling is why I added the “[Okay Video]” part to the title years later.

The ending is another original Monty Python knock-off (seems to be a running thing with me) of the episode “How Not to Be Seen.”

My YTP has absolutely nothing to do with the sperm of the Cad Kuk.

Inspired by a Poop by cartoonlover98 done the year before (and quite possibly a few others with the same source), I decided to make one out of the classic Looney Tunes cartoon Duck Amuck. As CL98 noted in the description of his now-deleted video (and as a comment in my video also points out), the original cartoon seems very much like a YTP.

A comment from c. 2017 also states that Duck Amuck is Pooped so frequently that it causes jokes to be repeated. Indeed, I was partially inspired by some jokes made by CL98, cs188, and another one, “Daffy Duck Violates a Double McCheese While Joining Al Qaida,”  for this video, and I might have unintentionally copied some general/obvious jokes here, like the opening “face” one.

Nevertheless, this Poop garnered more views and traffic for my YTPs and overall channel at a rather rapid (by my standards) pace. By November 4, 2016, it garnered 1,201 views and twelve likes, and didn't gain a single dislike at all!

The title is an anagram of the original cartoon's title. Almost a year later, a similar term “cuck” became associated with the far-right/alt-right movement rising up at the time, though the term seems to have been appropriated away from them in seemingly no time.

A really lucky YT-generated thumbnail for my ICP YTP!

COITUS WITH MAGNETS, AS TOLD BY A CLOWN DUO (LYRICS IN DESCRIPTION)

This Poop was inspired by many Poops done by TomServo3 with the infamous Insane Clown Posse song “Miracles” as their source and as other jokes in Poops with other sources, even in 2014. There were also a few other YTPs with the ICP song as their source, including one from c. 2010 called “The Miracles of Milky Daddy Blow Up Your Pet Cats and Dogs.” This one wasn't made by TomServo3, but nevertheless had her style. I think it was for a collab for something.

So, taking inspiration from the predominately half-decade-old videos, I decided in the year of our Lord 2015 to create a YTP based on ICP's “Miracles.” I figured it would work; the most recent YTP of ICP came out in early 2013 (by KHMaggot67), not that long ago at the time.

During the time of production and uploading, I got my first post-college job as a cleaner and editor of PowerPoint presentations, taking away much of my free time from making YTPs and checking up on how they're doing. I published the video on YouTube and, feeling proud of my work, clicked the “Like” button on my video, also hoping that it would bring traffic to the video.

Back when the site had the ability to look at others' “Liked Videos” playlists and noticed that some users liked a few of their own reasons. So, it was okay if I liked one of my own videos.

As the days passed, I eventually looked at how my ICP YTP was doing. I noticed that there were two dislikes. It was the first time I had ever received any dislikes on one of my Poops. My videos had never gotten a dislike before, let alone two, but they really haven't received that much, or any, likes either at the time. Astonished, I typed a comment asking why this was. I wanted to know full specifics of why the dislikes were there so I could improve my craft. I eventually got replies, but nothing helpful. Maybe I was too used to the thorough critiques for projects my class and I did at Rutgers-Camden.

The Poop's reputation has warmed up in the passing years, however, so everything's not too bad. I nevertheless feel that the CatDog joke was a tad old hat, even in 2015.

The ominous, glum music that bookends this Poop is the track “Barbastella” from the score to Batman Begins.

The part of Phil apparently saying the N-word and the brief comment “OMFG PHIL'S A FUCKING RACIST!” was a reference to the rising political correctness, that would give rise to wokeness, that was getting some national prominence, mainly in the then-current 19th season of South Park, my first exposure to this kind of woke nonsense (though in hindsight, extreme far-right Facebook pages whose posts and pictures were shared by a fair amount of my Friends were also talking about it angrily, though I tended to be skeptical towards their claims).

The title of the Poop was also a reference to this also, and to confuse the audience. The basis is a winter-themed episode of Cro, with the cold open taking place at Christmastime, released in September 2015, and is stated to take place May 12, 2014. The description also goes like this: “Just in time for Christmas in May, Cro and his friends celebrate the Fourth of July by inventing skiing, much to the chagrin of Earle [sic]. Enjoy this St. Patrick's Day video, everyone, and have a wonderful Valentine's Day.”

Dr. C's line, “I'm building a windmill.” was supposed to be a random, repeat gag peppered throughout the video, similar to MoBrosStudios placing Doofenshmirtz' shout of “Trash cans!” at various places in his earlier work. I ultimately just used it once. For Phil's reference of “Jiffy,” I initially misremembered Jiffy as being a reference to a peanut butter brand. After some online research, I recalled that Jiffy was a shorter way of saying Jiffy Lube. So, I searched for their logo to place for Phil's line. The bad part was I ended up with a GIF with the white removed from the original logo, giving it a crude appearance.

I toyed around with the modern-day wraparounds usually seen in Cro episodes by having the whole thing happen in the beginning before any of the main Woollyville story. In a comment from around 2018, Arigriphantua said, “2,000 years later and Mike and Phil don't look a day over 1,999! I guess their perpetual running must have been the key to their eternal youth!”

The repeated scene of Esmeralda spitting the fish out and shouting, “Pooh!” was one of my favorite scenes to edit in this YTP. The immediate scene with my ICP Poop, to which Esmeralda says, “Of all the indignities...”, is me expressing my disappointment with the video following the initial poor reaction to it.

When Ivana makes an exaggeratedly strained face and it gets zoomed in on, it's a reference to a YTP by TomServo3 from 2014 called “The Stoner Composter.” The scene of Esmeralda expressing her concern for Earl's banging causing an avalanche was my first use of mirroring a scene.

The final silent, black screen was meant to be a little shorter, like around a minute. I think it was an accident that I did it that way.

My second (and currently final) YTPMV has a rather lame title with poor grammar. That aside, I think I predicted Mr. Ratburn, referred here as Mr. Assburn taking inspiration yet again from TomServo3, being gay/bi four years before it was confirmed, though I never shared that feeling about Mr. Ratburn unlike other fans of Arthur.

I used Audacity's sliding pitch tool for the start of two of the lyrics here. First, for “read...19 chapters in History,” I altered the first word to increase pitch as it went. Similarly, for “list...six-six-six adverbs alphabetically,” I attempted to lower the pitch of “list,” but, while good, I wasn't as successful with this as the former lyric.

I stupidly sort of ended up pulling a Stefan Molyneux here, with me typing a comment—on my own video—saying how I liked the use of the King saying “dinner” in it, in a pitiful attempt to start a conversation and get traffic to my videos. I still kind of like the use of “dinner” in the video itself.

This video marked my first collab entry ever, in this case for The Commercial YTP Collab co-hosted by NationOfOranges696 and ClankityClonk. As this was my first ever collab entry, it was the first of my Poops to have my wordmark at the corner of the video.

I now sort of feel as the months passed into my first year of YTP, although my editing skills were improving, my YTPs seemed to dip somewhat in quality somehow. This video was also sort of a challenge to edit, too. Even though I thought the '90s commercials from Cro recordings would make great Poop fodder, I edited these commercials three times now and was running out of fresh editing ideas.

The currently sole comment on my video is that while the YouTuber thought it was okay, he didn't think it would be good enough to join the collab. As it turns out, he was very wrong.

Almost immediately after uploading my first collab entry above, I got asked to join a Scooby-Doo YTP collab, although that video seems to have been taken down and I can't find it.

This also marks the first time I used a Tourette's Guy joke in one of my Poops. The “LOL! Ice hole!” caption is a reference to a video of TomServo3. Not a YTP, but a Speakonia video, “Drew Pickles Talks About Closing Logos,” the first one from 2010, and which I first saw around 2011 or 2012.

I actually wasn't aware of the Skooks series of videos, so I neglected to place a frozen caveman bit in this. If I had known about it then, I probably would've tried to place it in somehow.

I got the Cro recording from my previous Poop using the source from a channel called Dr. Penguinstein. The channel had a few more episodes of Cro uploaded, including “Just A Stone's Throwaway.” I should've edited the “Spike the Mike” line differently, just moving the first two sounds of the rhyming words, rather than switching the positions of them.

The fake pop-up window about smart.ogg not working is a reference to a Poop done by Sinn3dTragedy98, while Cro saying “springy spoon,” it being reversed, and both being repeated in a faster speed is the influence of NationOfOranges696 bleeding into my work. The melons from the melon patch come from a picture of Kate Upton eating a popsicle. The 1:37 mark is the first time I edited footage to be tuned to a song, in this case the Thomas the Tank Engine theme.

The vine mentioned by Pakka was not only a reference to the plant being used to launch melons, but also a reference to the late video service Vine. The scene of Nandy's lengthy translation for Bobb's few grunts should've been edited differently, in a more weirder way, though I'm not entirely sure what.

The Sparta remix appears when Ogg commands Bobb to get a longer lever. I attempted in the past to do a serious Sparta remix, having seen many of them in the early-2010s, but could never manage to edit them properly. I could never tell how much was enough for a proper beat and/or how clearly the shorter audio had to be without compromising the length.

For the previous Christmas, I got the Shout! Factory complete DVD set of Rocko's Modern Life. One of my favorite episodes of the show was “I Have No Son!”, which featured the crazy show-within-the-show The Fatheads. Sometime in late 2015/early 2016, I caught a few edits of the Fatheads sequences on YouTube, “The Fatheads Take A Pleasant Stroll Through Your Sanity” and “The Fatheads Ejaculate Into Your Right Ear,” both from 2009. These videos served as the genesis for mine.

Michelle “Bachmann” Obama is not just a reference to the then-FLOTUS. Michelle Bachmann is an ultraconservative, moonbat Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota who was one of the many candidates for the party nomination in the 2012 election (little did we know how simple it was back that year). The credit of “whoever grabbed the pole” is a joke from the credits of Clerks, and possibly a few other films of fellow Garden State native Kevin Smith. There are also a few X-Files references in the credits, as the 10th season miniseries was airing on Fox at the time I made this.

I created a whole edit of this video first, then placed it in a new Lightworks track and increased the speed by 4%, to make it appear it was ripped from a PAL source. I did this because Rocko's Modern Life is owned by Nickelodeon, and therefore Viacom, the archenemy of all YouTube Poopers, and I didn't want the video to get struck by copyright claims.

The title is the only one here in small case because I have no idea how to have the special pronunciation characters capitalized. This Poop seems to be a mixture of both NationOfOranges696's stuff, mainly the lurid effects sequence at the end, and, to a lesser degree, “Dying to Lie” by Thatguypoops, mainly the scene of SpongeBob pulling on something, which was reused in the ending here.

The source of this Poop was not only from a classic, pre-film SpongeBob episode, but it's also an off-air recording of a SpongeBob marathon made in 2003. While transferring my off-air recordings of the show, I ultimately got my own copy of the famous nuclear explosion footage seen in the program.

Important notice for those watching my YTPs based upon my own off-air recordings like this one, and a few others below: The audio on some devices, especially if you're listening to them on headphones, might sound like their only coming from your left. I made the recordings and Poops (with the exception of my most recent YTP) on my 2013-4 Windows 8.1 HP laptop and the audio didn't seem to have any issues. However, when listening to them on my other laptop, a 2022-3 Windows 11 MSI laptop, the recordings' audio always seems to come from just the left. I guess I'm gonna have to try to find a splitter for this (and I eventually got one!).

So, June Arberkle will teach him a lesson she'll never forget.

My third ever collab entry, this time for a Garfield-themed collab hosted by, natch, NationOfOranges696. The main source of this Poop, the Garfield and Friends cartoon “Mistakes Will Happen” (one of my favorite cartoon episodes from my childhood and one that I still enjoy today), came to me after viewing a YTP the previous year, which I later discovered was originally published in 2011 by TomServo3 called “Luck You.” I also mimicked one of her jokes from that Poop, which I pointed out in a brief, flashing statement.

OGG SUFFERS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND PAYS THE CONSEQUENCES

As the right thumbnail (made in early 2019) and some of the title makes clear, this is a darker YTP inspired by the oeuvre of AwfulFawful (though not any of her politics, left or right).

The scenes of Nandy signing while fishing for mung were created with Audacity; I didn't know how to do the vibrato effect then and only found a plug-in for the software years later.

I wanted to delay the darker material of the video as much as possible to make the sinister segment more surprising. I used the selective coloring filter in Lightworks for many scenes for the first time in my Pooping experience, starting with the scene where Phil violates the boundaries of time to communicate with Ogg.

There's a brief moment of black screen at the end of the scene. This is because I intended the distorted version to flow smoothly back into the original scene, but the audio seemed to be slightly longer than the video for some reason. So, I had to add a brief black screen to get the audio and video back in sync. I kept it in because it added more strange feelings in light of a strange scene.

While Nandy's laughter gets faster in the end, the technicolor nuclear explosion background briefly increases speed for one moment and then stays the same speed for the rest of the sequence. This is because, when editing Nandy to laugh faster, I regularly just edited the track with Nandy and ignored the one with the background, but I briefly and accidentally edited the speed of both tracks once and couldn't find a way to undo it.

While editing the scene where Ogg first travels down river in the log at great speed, I accidentally deleted a track for sound in the project, which inadvertently effected the scene where multiple Oggs chase one another (before the line “Ogg broke Ogg.”). It also caused another of his lines, “Maybe too fast,” to be out of sync with his mouth movements. I ended up keeping it in to add to the strange nature of the quickly-turning-dark second half of the Poop.

I'm not sure if it was clear or not, but the implication of the end is that Ogg, still sentient and unable to do anything about it, has become fossil fuels after falling into the tar pit and is in the process of getting drilled and sent to gas stations.

The footage I used for the ending were videos for one for crude oil loading, delivering fuel at a gas station, and an episode of Discovery Channel's Extreme Machines regarding the oil rig Eirik Raude, the primary visual source of this sequence. The live action footage was desaturated by around 50% to give it a more sinister feel. It was also because I had Zack Snyder's notoriously monochromatic coloring scheme on my mind, thanks to the release and reaction of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The song is Nine Inch Nails' lesser-known but eerie tune “The Day the World Went Away;” its most notable use prior was in the trailer for Terminator: Salvation from eight years prior.

I added the scene of Ogg and the lizard as a preview of this Poop as filler to keep my small audience interested, as I started working at Lowe's as a cashier at the time and couldn't update my channel a lot.

Because all villains deserve a little glory (and might still get it, unfortunately).

YOUTUBE VILLAINS

This was a topical video upon release. At the time, YouTube created a strange system called “YouTube Heroes” where YouTube users could reach higher rankings of something to call out or block seemingly inappropriate for the service. This drew the ire of many of the YouTube community and many YouTubers, most notably Goop Videos and EmperorLemon.

Around this time, I was worried about the rise of the far-right/alt-right that seemed to be on the rise since at least the beginning of the decade and getting stronger in 2016, and figured alt-right types would use the YouTube Heroes stuff to their advantage. So, the result was this rather unsubtle and barely funny edit of the original YouTube Heroes announcement video that shows my frustration with the then-growing fringe movement. The title is rather clever, referencing notorious alt-right darling/racist/pedophile Milo Yiannopolous who, along with the rest of his movement, was gaining cultural traction at the time, and often referred to himself as a villain publicly for some reason.

The video was okay in theory, but ended up being poor in execution, with lackluster edits and okay jokes. I think the stress of the then-unbelievable election in just two months at the time was getting to me.

When I originally uploaded this video in Lightworks, I had accidentally forget to click "Marked Section" when selecting the amount of footage I wanted to upload, causing a lengthy moment of black space. I had to delete the video, re-render it correctly, and upload the new video.

Take a wild guess what the inspiration behind this Poop is.

Yet another topical video upon release with the subject matter and then-current event being quite obvious (and sadly might be very topical again this year, complete with the same result). The joke about Douglas being special needs was another attempt by me to create another meme, like the “Autistic” meme that was around the time.

I agree with the comment that says the “Well well well” went on for too long.

The message at the end was about two things. First, that allegations of Trump supporters harassing those who disagreed with them and threatened violent acts towards them. Second, to advertise my website, DoorJam Creations. The earliest version of DoorJam Creations had been published for a week when the video came out.

These three YouTube Poops are called “Ogg Only Has One Thing to Say,” “Poor Artistry Skills,” and “The Return of the Fagheads” (the stats above refer first to the “Ogg” Poop, the “Artistry” Poop, and the “Fagheads” Poop, respectively). They were all released on the same day, each as entries for the Ascension of Ear Rape 2 Collab by Goop Videos, whose original Ascension of Ear Rape was made as a response to his frustration with YouTube Heroes.

Although Goop gave an instruction video for Sony Vegas users, I decided to try my hand using Lightworks to similar effect.

Yet another then-topical video, made in reaction to the seeming-apex of the rise of ultra-reactionaries that year. At the end of 2016, edits of the LazyTown song “We Are Number One” were posted on various accounts, most notably MrMrMangohead and cs188, to give funds to Icelandic actor Stefan Karlson who portrays the villain Robbie Rotten, who was afflicted with cancer.

The Icelandic show LazyTown first came to American TV in 2005, when I was 13 and way out of the targeted demographic. I had only heard of the show through commercials on Nickelodeon and found the waxy humanoid puppets and waxy humans extremely off-putting, so I never watched it. My only exposure to this show was 11 years later, with edits by Mangohead and others.

I admit that I didn't include a link to the GoFundMe for Stefan's cancer funds partly because of my own financial concerns at the time, but also due to the subject matter of the video, where Robbie recruits his apparent clones to teach them to be alt-right villains, hunting minority groups and trying to kidnap Pepe the Frog, though Pepe becomes more successful here than in real life.

Additionally, for the scene where one of the Robbie Rotten people stomps on the branch repeatedly, it was just meant to be him stomping on it. Rewatching just now for this writing, I noticed that it evoked the Nazi goosestepping, making it totally appropriate for this video!

I'm quite proud of the sentence mixing in this one, like the lyric “If you wanna be a villain number one, you have to chase a Muslim on the run.” That crazy part at the end is just filler to kill time and lengthen the video, with the audio being altered in Audacity and the visuals edited in Lightworks.

The thumbnail is a picture of the African-American church shooter and white nationalist Dylan Roof, edited to have Robbie Rotten's head over his own.

For this thumbnail, I wanted to create the glowing eyes meme that I saw in many pictures, but I accidentally made both eyes solid red instead of white glowing with red.

TOM-S AND HIS FRIENDS GO TO HELL

For this Poop, I was rather ambitious. I had a digitized copy of my Thomas the Tank Engine video tape Thomas and His Friends Help Out, a compilation of Thomas stories that involved characters helping one another out in some way, no matter how small. Actually, I had two digitized copies of the compilation, as some years later, possibly in the early 2000s, I had bought what turned out to be another release of the same compilation. I don't think I did it on purpose and I don't know why this happened.

I planned to Poop all the stories in the compilation individually, then find a way to link them together, like an episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus. I started doing the first few stories, but as production was taking a long while, and with me not having as much free time as before due to my new cashier job at Lowe's that I held since March 2016, I ended up just doing the first two stories, a bit of the third, the intro, and the end credits.

Stupidly, I neglected to use cartoonlover98's Poop that featured the famous “pushed and puffed and puffed and pushed” gag, with Edward trying to push a train, to boot! I downloaded the video and neglected to use it in my YTP. Darn!

I also had the idea to place annotations at various points in the video that would've been visible only by hovering over them, leading to other videos, whether they be privated videos made by me especially for the occasion or other YouTube videos. For example, when a sad James mentions “passengers,” the poster for 2016's Passengers with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence would appear, and if you hovered over the poster, it would lead to the trailer for Passengers...the 2008 movie with Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson. But when YouTube said they were going to scrap annotations, the ideas for them in this video got scrapped, too.

At the end of the second story, the narrator calls James “Jay.” I considered putting a picture of Jay, from Jay and Silent Bob, up on screen when this happened, but not got around to it. I figured that it would somehow be obvious enough for people to get the reference, but looking back now, I should've added it.

Another easily obvious thing that I just noticed now for this writing, instead of nearly a decade ago when I made it, was that the boy in the first taped commercial was named Edward! The final bit of sentence-mixing is supposed to say, “when the other engines are tucked away in shit,” not shed. The ending credits was inspired by those for Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation.

The thumbnail's background is Japanese text from the cursed tape from the original "Ringu" (1998), with Jack Torrence being placed in Garfield's eyes. The whole thing ended up having a whole unintentional cyberpunk/Blade Runner feel to it.

Yet another collab entry for NationOfOranges696, this time for one in celebration of Garfield's 40th birthday. The main source is the Garfield and Friends cartoon, “A Vacation from His Senses.” The opening and ending were a reference to the YTP, “Garfield's Masterbation [sic] Addiction,” one of the earliest YTPs of Garfield I ever saw.

A breaking news slide from my local ABC affiliate, WPVI/6abc, appears before Garfield explains about Jon's vacations. The bit with the Creature That Lived in the Refrigerator, etc., etc., etc. was supposed to be another running gag throughout this video. Another part that ended up not coming to fruition was the end of the scene. In the original, it ends with a swipe to black, then cuts to the next scene. In a pinned comment, I suggested to NationOfOranges that the swipe to black could cut to another entry. But I guess he didn't see the comment and decided to have the entries play with Robot Chicken-inspired TV static bursts between them.

The eerie footage that Garfield and Odie trick Jon into watching is none other than the original cursed tape from the original Japanese film Ringu (1998)! Said footage also appeared in “Ogg Suffers A Horrible Experience...” near the end. Voltaire's stop motion MTV guillotine bumper also appears, too.

The reason for the near year-long break between the two Poops is that around 2017, I started created shorter, shitpost videos in the style of MrMrMangohead. The videos were shorter in length, but took less time to produce. I was also busy with my cashier job at Lowe's at the time and starting to add material to DoorJam Creations.

This was for a collab that would've been hosted by NationOfOranges696. In it, the participants would receive two Poopisms to use in our entries. He would tell us which two Poopisms we would get with a complex method that involved the rolling of dice. I ended up getting reversing and censor beeps, though I only managed to do the latter.

As previously stated, the methods to get the Poopisms seemed to be a little complex, with even NationOfOranges himself thinking so. This had the negative effect of him ending up canceling the entire collab due to him being stressed out about it. I was still working on my entry when he made the announcement, so on the same day, I uploaded my short entry as a standalone video.

UNFINISHED HANNAH MONTANA YTP

I started work on this in April 2017, not that long after digitizing taped episodes of Hannah Montana (originally meant for viewing by my sister) from almost a decade prior. After working on it for a little bit, with the production intersecting me working on DoorJam Creations and my then-new cashier job, it eventually became dormant and I didn't look back at it until two years later, when I think I just decided to upload what was there, feeling that it was strong enough on its own.

My favorite joke is at the beginning with the 13 Reasons Why suicide scene (2017, remember?). The image of older/c. late-2010s Miley as a werewolf was done by me in the early months of that year. Stupidly, I placed my name's watermark is the bottom left corner where text was going to go, or at least didn't consider moving the watermark elsewhere for the scene. When were-Miley appears, the caption reads, “When it's a full moon and your bitch sees your large dick.” Also, “The Ashley Eggman Sisters” name is just some random word salad I developed and has no further significance.

The speedy end credits in the middle read this (including some gags and references that I've forgotten until this writing):

Once upon a time, two archaeologists, the blond Lucy and the pale, black-haired Ashley, set out into the jungle.

They were looking to see if “The Legend of the Gorilla” was true. Said legend was a tale of a pair of explorers who explored this forest and never returned. Only a few gorillas and the explorers' torn clothes remained.

The two went hiking into the jungle for a few days. Nothing happened. Until late one night...

A giant white light flashed at the two women.

Then nothing. The women were confused as they didn't think anything had happened. Or so they thought.

Lucy had a strange feeling. Something about her physiology wasn't right. Ashley had developed similar feelings.

In an instant, both their bodies were starting to become bigger. Their canines were developing into fangs.

They lost their eyebrow hairs, but grew more hairy in other places on their bodies.

Ashley!” cried Lucy. “Wh-what's happening to us?” “I-I don't know,” Ashley grunted. Every part of their bodies continued to grow, even their rear ends.

Their clothes tore apart due to the growth. With a loud grunt, Ashley's pants tore off, revealing her large gorilla rear. Lucy, despite her own gorilla transformation couldn't help but notice Ashley's enlarged ass.

Lucy, despite herself, walked up to Ashley and gently touched the archaeologist's behind. Lucy started grunting happily.

Lucy!” shouted Ashley in surprise. “What the hell are you doing?!” “I can't help it,” Lucy replied, “You have a nice ass...”

Lucy started groaning like a gorilla and moaning orgasmically all at once. Her transformation was starting to split her clothes now.

It was so intense that she had to stop fondling Ashley's ass as her top exploding [sic], exposing her breasts.

Ashley lost all focus upon seeing Lucy's new giant bosom. “Lucy, your...” Ashley was struggling to find the words. “Your boobs are really big.”

The two were focused on the other. So much, that they lost their balance and collapsed into one another.

They stared into their simian faces and suddenly saw the true definition of beauty. Lucy and Ashley, [both] almost 100% gorilla now, finally kissed each other.

They were kissing each other so passionately that neither of them noticed that their ape transformation was complete.

They didn't care. The two gorillas were French kissing, which led to romantic caressing, which led to animalistic tribbing, complete with loud groaning and grunting.

They remained in the jungle ever since, their human lives gone and now filled with gorilla lust for one another.

WOOLYVILLE TURNS UP THE HEAT A TAD TOO FAR

The synopsis of this Poop is mainly me ranting on how those who lean towards the moderate left (like myself) will always be subject to absurd, contradictory guilt-by-association claims, like how we're all radical communists bent on destroying America and neo-Confederates who hate black people and we're all weak little crybaby sissies, and so on, and so on (although the late 2010s onward and quite possibly the 1960s onward [or possibly even earlier] seemed to have unfortunately justified those thoughts and these justifications don't appear to stop anytime soon).

Anyway, on a non-sociopolitical note, here's the genesis of this YTP. In 2019, NationOfOranges696 announced another collab: The Fifth Element (Simplicity Collab 5.0), where those participating had to use just one main software for their Poop with no additional help from other programs. While many other Poopers would famously use Sony Vegas Pro, I use the free version of Lightworks. I figured this collab would give me a chance to explore more of the software, and it indeed it did.

Here's an example: For Murray saying, “What'd I do? What'd I do?!” I found out I could split the two audio tracks and have them play at two different speeds.

The chicken cum joke was meant to have its visuals switched. The words “chicken cum” were supposed to show the black-and-white scene and the background was to be a fluorescent shot of a defeated and sad Ogg disguised as a chicken. As it was, I got the effects settings and/or the track organization wrong.

Like I did with “Ogg Suffers an Experience...” before, for the scene of Mojo throwing Ogg off his trunk, I accidentally deleted some tracks, ruining the flow of the scene. A ghosted version of the scene was meant to play after the mammoth raises his trunk, but the scene got ruined when I accidentally deleted the tracks. The final version, while okay, inadvertently sounds like “Hava Naglia” (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

This video was inspired by one of MrMrMangohead's videos from 2019, an edit of The Polar Express called “The Cursed Express.”

THERE'S SNOW SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM

After hearing of Jimmy Davis' Overlooked YTPer collab, meant to show underrated Poopers, I decided to jump in and throw my hat into the foray. I used the same Cro episode as “Cro's Horrific Helliday Special,” using a joke where Phil saying “cold” was slowed down notably, but here pointing out that I had already done this joke (on YouTube, a card appears in the top right corner saying “See here.” linking to the previous Poop).

The “messages” sandwiched between the original's bumpers were the random phrases said by the characters; I'm honestly not sure if anybody got that, or this next one. After the lengthy “back to the show” bumper, I focused on the visual's word “our” when the song went “And now...back to the show.”

In retrospect, maybe this was too esoteric for a collab entry that would probably introduce myself to many other Poopers and watchers.

I worked at the entry through early November 2020, while the votes for the election were being counted. As it was taking a while for the results to come in, I decided to work on my collab entry in my spare time. I was also working a cart attendant job at ShopRite at this time, as it was the pandemic and I needed money to go into my bank account.

At the end, I wanted Pakka to say something like, “COVID-19 is highly contagious, you know.” But I considered that the topical line could have a potential to date the Poop and that COVID could possibly be no longer relevant by the time the full collab came up. So I changed the line to “STDs are highly contagious, you know.” The line was in reference to the previous “sex” scene between Pakka and Cro.

In spite of what the scene sounds like, it is perhaps the least erotic and least nasty scene in all of YouTube Poop, or anything else for that matter. For one, the sentence mixing of Pakka moaning Cro's name is pretty awkward. The footage on Cro engaged in intercourse with the mammoth is poorly done, with just the footage of his head moving up and down just repeating without any reversing to make it more smooth (unlike the footage of Pakka from the same scene).

As mentioned above, I uploaded the video on November 14, 2020. However, I didn't make it public, something I did with most of my other collab entries until the whole collab was published. While my entry was private and uploaded, I shared the link to Jimmy Davis on the comments section of his announcement video.

Some time shortly after I uploaded it, Jimmy stated in the comments that while it wouldn't make the main collab, it would be in part two of the collab. I was a little surprised at first. I initially thought that meant it wouldn't be in the collab at all. I didn't hear anything about this being a two-parter! Later, I discovered that Jimmy ended up getting too many entries so he had to split it up into two parts, and I would go into the second part, which was much relief.

The entries in this part would either be of slightly lesser quality, a tad too esoteric for the general viewer, Jimmy's familiarity with the original source, him being in an off mood while watching the video, and/or some combination thereof. I feel the majors issue with my Poop were issues two and three.

I waited and waited in the waning days of 2020, between the year finally ending and working at my cart attendant job, which took up most of my time, for the collabs to appear.

Then, in the New Year, on the day of my 29th birthday, during a lengthy day of work at ShopRite, I got a notification on my phone that Jimmy Davis uploaded Part 2 of the Overlooked YTPer Collab that afternoon (Jimmy lives near the Twin Cities, including and unfortunately during 2020 also, so he's an hour behind me). Later that night, after birthday dinner, cake, and festivities, I made my entry public and shared a link to the whole second part of the collab.

THE GUY OF TOURETTES DEALS WITH A BUNCH OF SHISK KEBAB

In June 2021, I noticed that my channel had slightly passed the 300 subscriber mark, so I decided to make a video to mark the occasion, with production starting on July 9, 2021. Due to other events going on in my life, I ended up not working on it a lot and eventually returned to production on July 9, 2022.

Unfortunately, in-between the year-long hiatus, vulgar comedian, TV host, and '80s TV dad Bob Saget passed away on January 9, 2022, months before his 66th birthday. Since one of the Tourettes Guy's most famous gags is him yelling the comedian's name in various situations, I placed a B&W version of the Bob Saget scene from the earliest TG videos as a tribute.

One of the more difficult parts of production was finding the Korn music video for “Freak on a Leash,” or more accurately, trying to find a way to download it. The previous free version of YouTube video downloading software started adding audio and visual watermarks, rendering any downloads worthless for any kind of editing. I searched for many free downloading sites online, but usually ended up running into copyright trouble with them or other various issues. Eventually, I managed to find a site and download the video without concern—all for a gag that lasts less than a few seconds.

In Lightworks, while editing the split-screen scene with the Tourette's Guy's dad and his negative version, I separated the two audio tracks and altered the speed on one of them. When I played this in the Lightworks project workspace, the slowed-down audio didn't seem to play at first. But after a while, it started to play again, and played again when rendered, and thus in final cut. It was really weird.

When I saw the Christmas 2017 TG video, when he mentions that he was married to some bitch named Barb, a certain character from the Netflix show Stranger Things came to mind.

The joke at 3:21 is a reference to one of the older, original Tourette's Guy videos on YouTube, from October 2007.

The ending part was meant to include all the uses of “shit” in every TG video ever, but the editing process for the scene ended up being too tedious and I wanted to get this video out quickly.

In all my TG videos, I set the location to be Cleveland, Ohio (with a lot of evidence pointing to the cast residing in the Buckeye State), though the recent TG video seems to imply that they're living in the state capital, Columbus.

THE TOURETTES GUY EXPERIENCES PHONE TROUBLES

As I was finishing up the previous video, I was getting closer to 400 subscribers. I made this video in celebration, and reached 400 subscribers a few days prior to uploading the video.

This video, as well as the previous one, were inspired by a few recent Poops about the Tourette's Guy: cs188's “Tourettes Guy Finds a Beehive in his Ass” (from 2020), and two more from different Poopers, “Tourette's Guy's Day of Bisexual Coitus” from Some Weird Pufferfish and “Tourettes Guy Summons The Power of Ass” by RD YTP.

The rough vibrato audio of Nandy singing from “Ogg Experiences...” returns here as a mysterious voice Danny talks to over the phone. I developed the idea for the ending of the YTP to have a scene of TG from the first video in his series to call the TG who's on the phone with his credit card people before the former “hangs up.” I wanted to have foreshadowing of the ending gag at an earlier point in the video.

I thought I created the dance remix part in the middle nicely at first. I wasn't sure at first if I ended up placing Danny yelling “SHIT!” correctly for timing, but it ended up flowing well. Feeling the sequence needed to beefed up, I added him yelling “ASS!” repeatedly. I originally thought that it ruined the flow somewhat, but not entirely, so I kept it in. The whole thing ended up going much better than I anticipated.

For the following two captions, I ripped off Monty Python yet again, this time for the 1971 film And Now For Something Completely Different.

The ear rape at 3:25 is as close as I'll get to ever successfully emulating an ear rape done by Sony Vegas, and the shaky picture wasn't mine; it came from the handheld original.

There are two Wawa jokes here, a local reference for me. Wawas are popular local convenience stores with chains located along the east coast and based near Philadelphia.

In all my custom thumbnails, I take the placing of the time amount in the bottom right corner into account.

THE DE-CREDIBLES

In March 2023, as April Fools was fast approaching and after publishing the first parts of Book I of The Epiflairy, I figured I should do a deliberately sucky YTP of The Incredibles, specifically the sock puppet version found as an Easter Egg on the DVD, for April Fools.

I actually tried to do a YouTube April Fools prank in 2019 where I would show the whole, lengthy ending black screen to my VHS copy of A Charlie Brown Christmas and present it as a rare VHS closing, complete with a melodramatic clickbait title (and given the extended black screen at the end of this tape would be unexpected, the clickbait title wouldn't have been too far from the truth). In what would seem like foreshadowing of similar troubles I would experience a little over two years later, when I tried to upload the lengthy video, YouTube ended up blocking the whole thing due to copyright issues.

Many of the seemingly frustrating editing choices were done by design, like the opening ten minutes of black screen, the trippy sequence in the middle, the “secret thing” part, and the somewhat prolonged and eerie “Nooo!” segment, were intentionally poor because...well, it was for April Fools Day! Also, during the “secret thing” sequence, I unintentionally reversed some footage at a higher pitch and let the footage run for a little bit longer before resuming the scene. I thought it looked strange for an April Fools Day YTP and kept it in.

All this might have ended up contributing to the poor reaction (such as it was) this Poop had.

For the end credits, I tried to slow them down as the music played, which turned out to be easier said than done, as they came from the very tail end of the video I used for my source.

The main inspiration for this Poop are three videos from the same creator: the three Incredibles Poops created by EmperorLemon, including the one from April Fools 2016.

THE HYRULE LATE-2000S THROWBACK 2024!

As of this writing, this is my most recent YTP, using the two infamous Legend of Zelda CD-i games as its basis. I felt like I needed to make another, and much better, YTP before the tenth anniversary following the poor reception to my previous Poop, though with the initial reaction upon release I might have tempted fate in this case.

I admit, compared to more elaborate and recent CD-i YTPs, such as those done by Jimmy Davis or “The King is Speechless,” this one seems rather technically backward. This is probably a result of me being out of practice in Pooping for some time, lacking any videos of the cutscenes with just the characters against a solid-colored, easy-to-remove background to chromakey later (though I think I might have such a video somewhere, but I can't find it—I might not be sure), me being caught up with my paying job, creating new material for the site and on my Zazzle account, or some combination thereof.

Perhaps for one or all of those reasons, production on this one just seemed a little like a chore, mainly the sentence mixing. Maybe it's just a general thing with the Zelda CD-i cutscenes, but I had issues manipulating audio into bluer words and sentences. The resulting sentence mixing was rather mid; it wasn't too bad, but it could've been worse somehow. Consequently, I added captions so that the viewer could understand the dialogue (since YouTube also got rid of annotations almost 7 years ago or so!).

The use of captions ended up working to my advantage, as they allowed me to create silly jokes with mainly stills, complete with meme potential.

The scenes of Zelda banging Iron Knuckle on the top of the head repeatedly were added for irreverence and almost-gratuitous violence. For later repeats, I placed varying effects to keep it visually interesting.

There's also a local reference in the video, with Impa saying everyone is stuck at the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, the drawbridge I took to go to my previous graphic design internship and back.

While I'm not as active in making YTPs as I once was, it doesn't mean I'm quitting YouTube Poop for good. I'm just very preoccupied nowadays with my current job; updating DoorJam Creations with webcomics, writings, and other stuff; occasionally posting photomanipulations on my Deviantart account; and doomscrolling a few news sites during an election year.

Also, I'm still occasionally doing some shitpost videos which, while short in length, are much quicker to produce and the occasional VHS tape transfer (mainly commercials and title openings/closings). So, if you're subscribed to my YouTube channel, you'll still get a fair amount of material on it. I also might make even more YouTube Poops in the near future, so you might want to stay tuned.
